Insulation operations.
Automated.

Your spray foam crew is scheduled for Tuesday. The framing inspection didn't clear until Thursday and nobody told you until Monday afternoon. The job gets pushed a week. You have a crew, a rig, and a calendar gap that a last-minute call can't fill on short notice. Material waste on spray foam jobs -- from lift thickness miscalculation or temperature swings at application -- is invisible until the job is invoiced. SYNTAX builds the systems that close both gaps.

What's eating your schedule and margin

Insulation work is tightly sequenced behind inspections and ahead of drywall. The window to mobilize is short and the material cost on spray foam jobs is significant. Both require active management.

Framing Inspection Delays That Kill Crew Utilization

Insulation can't go in until framing inspection clears. When that inspection slips -- and it slips often -- your insulation crew is either idle or scrambled to find another job to fill the window. A spray foam rig that drives to a job site that isn't ready burns fuel, time, and the crew's day. Monitoring inspection status on every active job and building a standby sequence for open windows is the coordination problem most insulation shops manage manually.

Spray Foam Material Waste from Temperature and Lift Miscalculation

Open-cell and closed-cell spray foam have application windows: substrate temperature between 65-90 degrees F, ambient humidity controlled, lift thickness per pass within spec. Outside those conditions, yield drops and waste climbs. A closed-cell job where the crew pushed lift thickness to finish faster can result in delamination and a mandatory respray -- $2,000-5,000 in rework on a mid-size job. Logging application conditions per job builds the record that protects you on callbacks.

GC Communication Gaps on Multi-Trade Jobs

Your window is between rough-in inspection clearance and drywall start. On a busy GC job that window might be 2 days. If the GC doesn't communicate the inspection result the moment it comes in, you might not get the call until the next morning. That's a day of the window gone. If you're not in the GC's top-three-priority texts, you find out when they remember to tell you.

Billing Lag Behind Job Completion

Insulation jobs complete in 1-3 days. The invoice should go out the same day the crew wraps up. Most insulation contractors invoice weekly or when they remember to -- which means a job done Thursday might not get invoiced until the following Tuesday. On 15-20 jobs a month, having an average 5-day invoice lag means carrying $40,000-70,000 in completed work with no billing cycle running against it.

Implementations for every
size of operation

The problems are the same at every scale. The build is different. Here is what SYNTAX deploys depending on where your operation is right now.

Owner-Operator
1 crew + rig
You're scheduling, running the crew, and billing. SYNTAX tracks inspection clearance on every active job, alerts you the moment a window opens, and sends the invoice the day the job wraps.
Inspection clearance alerts by jobInvoice auto-send on job completionApplication condition logging per job
Growing Shop
2-4 crews
You need the inspection tracking and scheduling coordination to be systematic across multiple jobs and GC relationships. SYNTAX manages the window queue: open inspection slots get matched to available crew days automatically, and every GC gets a confirmation call the moment you're ready to mobilize.

Established Company
5+ crews + commercial work
At this scale the spray foam material cost tracking and callback documentation are the margin. SYNTAX builds the reporting layer: material yield by crew, application condition compliance, callback rate by job type and crew.

What we build for your operation

We do not sell software subscriptions. We build the automation layer on top of the tools you are already running and deploy it fast. No ripping out your existing stack. Four systems that handle the work that is currently eating your week.

Scheduling
Inspection Clearance to Crew Dispatch

GC job added to queue: inspection milestone flagged. Inspection clears: you get an immediate alert with the confirmed window. If the window is 2 days or fewer: crew dispatch triggered with a prep checklist for the rig. If the window is wider: job added to the open slot queue and matched to next available crew day.

Job queued: inspection milestone flagged
→
Inspection cleared: immediate alert
→
Window confirmed: crew dispatched
→
Rig prep checklist sent to foreman
Application
Condition Logging per Job

Each job logs: substrate temp at start of application, ambient temp and humidity, product lot numbers, lift thickness per pass. Conditions outside spec trigger a flag before the crew starts. Application logs stored against the job record. Callback on spray foam performance: condition log is the first thing pulled.

Job start: conditions logged

Application complete: log finalized

GC Communication
Window Notification and Confirmation

Inspection clears: you send the GC a same-day confirmation of your mobilization date. GC gets a 24-hour reminder the day before your crew arrives. GC can confirm or request a push with a one-tap reply. Push received: next available window identified and confirmed. No day-of surprises for either party.

Invoice + Follow-Up

Job complete: invoice generated and sent same day. Residential follow-up at day 3, 7, 14. Commercial net-30 with escalation at day 35. Every invoiced job shows open/paid status. Nothing sits unpaid past 14 days without a follow-up.

We built these systems
because we needed them first.

SYNTAX came out of Phase III Construction -- an insurance restoration contractor running 5-12 simultaneous jobs across SE Michigan since 1993. Different trade, same structural problem: missed calls, slow collections, callbacks with no data, and jobs that stall when the communication cycle drops. We built these systems because we were the ones bleeding time and margin without them. The same systems that fixed our operation are what we deploy for yours.
